Rickie will try to defend his title after a rough collapse at Bethpage last weekend. He has shown flashes of dominance late this season during the Olympics and as previously stated, for most of The Barclays. Fowler hasn't been able to close this year due to the yipps creeping in late like his mustache coming out to play at the local bar. You can’t hate the guy, we all want him to win, but he leaves you feeling like your parents did after they realize you just boozed all throughout college – not mad just disappointed. I give him credit for growing out the stache, but he just looks like a boy band singer desperately trying to prove he’s a man. Let’s hope Rickie can string together four solid rounds and stay in contention.

With the top 99 ranked golfers entering the tourney (Danny Willett is out), it should continue to make these playoffs exciting to watch. There is also a chance for Ryder Cup hopefuls to prove they deserve a spot on the team, so Davis Love III will be watching about a dozen players closely. Jason Day enters the tourney at +650 odds after finishing in a three way tie for 4th at The Barclays. He is definitely a favorite to win in Boston considering how consistently on point he has been to date. The weather this weekend will provide favorable conditions and allow many golfers to post low scores coming out of the gate. Watch for Day to post a score deep into the red in the opening round.

Jason Day TPC Boston

I hope Jim Furyk can continue to stay in the mix at TPC Boston. In his last 11 starts he has made 11 cuts and has posted four top 10s with his best finish tied for fourth. He also has the third most strokes gained all time at this tournament. The old grinder isn’t done just yet.

Jim Furyk 58 Travelers

I also think Steve Stricker is a sneaky pick for this tourney. He has made 8 cuts in his last 11 starts and has also posted five top 10s in those 11 starts. Other prominent golfers heading into the tourney with good odds are Dustin Johnson at +1000, Jordan Spieth at +1200, Rory McIlroy at +1200 and Henrik Stenson at +1600. Spieth is definitely heating up after a "disappointing" season and Stenson continues to play like an absolute savage despite a precautionary early exit from The Barclays last week. I wouldn’t touch Rory’s odds considering he finished even par in a tie for 31st at Bethpage and missed the cut in two of his three showings before that.

Rory McIlroy Deutsche Bank

Sean O’Hair could slime into the leaderboard as well. He finished in second only two strokes behind Patty Reed last weekend and has three top 10s in his last nine starts.

The majority of the BG staff will be in attendance for The Deutsche Bank and the crowd will definitely be rowdy. Expect a bunch of massholes to contribute to the chaos and howl senseless shit all weekend. I get all amped up just thinking about how more rambunctious it could be than The Barclays last week:
